Each spring and fall, Nordstrom would host 60+ Beauty Trend Shows across the United States and Canada. The shows combined seasonal fashion messages tied back to beauty trends. Brand creators, make-up artists, and influencers spoke to the latest and greatest products while the models showcased and demonstrated items. Katie’s team partnered with the National Beauty Director on what trends played well together and created stories around the seasonal trends based on Nordstrom customer segmentations. In order to provide a clear, concise, and consistent fashion message in every store, Katie spearheaded the creation and implementation of a styling directive (toolkit). This toolkit included "inspiration" looks, along with examples using current merchandise, for the fashion production office’s 24 national freelance stylists to emulate.
